Fissurellidae – Fissurellinae: Amblychilepas oblonga (Menke, 1843) (‘oblong keyhole-limpet’)
Synonym(s): oblonga Menke, 1843.
Typical shell-length 20 mm. As with all keyhole-limpets, the shell sits atop a much larger animal. Lives subtidally and offshore attached to stones and the shells of living molluscs. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is apparently confined to King Island.
