Loricidae: Lorica volvox (Reeve, 1847) (‘revolving chiton’)

Synonym(s): volvox Reeve, 1847 cimolius Reeve, 1847.

Typical shell-length 90 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally on rocks, but juveniles live under rocks and stones. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
