Synonym(s): dilecta A. Adams, 1851 amitana Iredale, 1925.

Typical shell-length 12 mm. Lives intertidally to offshore under rocks and stones. Native. Occurs in southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA); also elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific.
