Synonym(s): modestina Tate, 1891 modesta Sowerby, 1833 elliptica E. A. Smith, 1884 rex Iredale, 1924.
Typical shell-length 14 mm. Lives subtidally in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC and SA).
