Cylichnidae: Adamnestia arachis (Quoy & Gaimard, 1833) (‘spireless peanut-shell’)
Synonym(s): arachis Quoy & Gaimard, 1833 regularis Gould, 1859 peroniana Iredale, 1936.
Typical shell-length 25 mm. Lives subtidally on mud in sheltered environments. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread species, but only common in the N.
