Typical body-length 180 mm. Lives subtidally amongst seaweed and seagrass. Native. Occurs all around Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA, WA and NT); also (probably as a number of very similar taxa) elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific.
