Synonym(s): semen Menke, 1843 helmsi Hedley, 1915.

Typical shell-length 2.2 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally in sand and mud. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
