Newtoniellidae – Ataxocerithiinae: Ataxocerithium applenum Iredale, 1936 (‘hollowed false-creeper’)

Synonym(s): applenum Iredale, 1936.

Typical shell-length 20 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore amongst sponges. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this is a rare species recorded only from the N.
