Muricidae – Coralliophilinae: Babelomurex (Babelomurex) lischkeanus (Dunker, 1882) (‘Lischkean coral-snail’)

Synonym(s): lischkeanus Dunker, 1882 peregrina Powell, 1947 australis Laseron, 1955.

Typical shell-length 50 mm. Lives in offshore waters amongst corals. Native. Occurs in eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC); also New Zealand and Japan.
