Marginellidae – Marginellinae: Balanetta baylii (Jousseaume, 1875) (‘Whan’s margin-shell’)

Synonym(s): baylii Jousseaume, 1875 whani Pritchard & Gatliff, 1900.

Typical shell-length 5.7 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
