Synonym(s): triticea Duclos, 1835 pardalis A. Adams & Angas, 1864.
Typical shell-length 10 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
