Calyptraeidae: Bostrycapulus pritzkeri Collin, 2005 (‘Pritzker’s slipper-limpet’)

Synonym(s): pritzkeri Collins, 2005 foliacea Broderip, 1834 echinus Broderip, 1834 hystrix Broderip, 1834 maculata Quoy & Gaimard, 1835 californica Tryon, 1886 gravispinosa Kuroda & Habe, 1950.

Typical shell-length 25 mm. Lives intertidally to offshore on rocks. Native. Endemic to eastern, western and northern Australia (WA, NT, QLD, NSW and TAS). There are as yet no confirmed records of this species in Tasmanian waters, although its presence here would not be surprising.
