Typical shell-length 60 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally under rocks and stones, often on the underside of plates of the red alga Sonderopelta coriacea. Native. Occurs in southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA); also New Zealand.
