Chitonidae – Chitoninae: Chiton (Rhyssoplax) calliozonus Pilsbry, 1894 (‘beautiful-zoned chiton’)

Synonym(s): calliozonus Pilsbry, 1894.

Typical shell-length 70 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore under rocks and stones, especially those embedded in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
