Chitonidae – Chitoninae: Chiton (Rhyssoplax) diaphorus (Iredale & May, 1916) (‘diaphorous chiton’)

Synonym(s): diaphorus Iredale & May, 1916.

Typical shell-length 70 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore under rocks and stones, avoiding those embedded in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA).
