Trochidae – Trochinae: Clanculus brunneus A. Adams, 1853 (‘brown top-shell’)
Synonym(s): brunneus Adams, 1853.
Typical shell-length 13 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this species is currently known only from a single locality in the Kent Group.
