Trochidae – Trochinae: Clanculus leucomphalus Verco, 1905 (‘white-navelled top-shell’)

Synonym(s): leucomphalus Verco, 1905.

Typical shell-length 13 mm. Lives in offshore waters. Native. Endemic to southern and southwestern Australia (TAS, SA and WA). There are as yet no confirmed records of this species in Tasmanian waters, although its presence here would not be surprising.
