Turritellidae – Turritellinae: Colpospira (Acutospira) smithiana (Donald, 1900) (‘Smiths’ screw-shell’)

Synonym(s): smithiana Donald, 1900.

Typical shell-length 19 mm. Lives in offshore waters. Native. Endemic to eastern and western Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is currently known only from a single record offshore from the northeast coast.
