Buccinidae – Buccininae: Cominella tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1878 (‘Tasmanian whelk’)

Synonym(s): tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1879.

Typical shell-length 10 mm. Presence of weak columellar folds is characteristic. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Occurs in southeastern Australia (TAS and perhaps other states).
