Corbulidae – Corbulinae: Corbula (Carycorbula) gibba (Olivi, 1792) (‘European basket-shell’)

Synonym(s): gibba Olivi, 1792 nucleus Lamarck, 1818.

Typical shell-length 12 mm. Lives subtidally in sand and mud. Non-native. Occurs in southeastern Australia (TAS and VIC); also the northeast Atlantic Ocean.
