Synonym(s): variabilis A. Adams & Angas, 1864.

Typical shell-length 14 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally on rocks. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
