Assimineidae – Assimineinae: Cryptassiminea tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1876 (‘Tasmanian assiminea’)

Synonym(s): tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1876 bicincta Petterd, 1889.

Typical shell-length 4.0 mm. Lives intertidally on mud, in sheltered environments. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this ia a locally common species.
