Cryptoplacidae: Cryptoplax iredalei Ashby, 1923 (‘Iredale’s fleshy-chiton’)

Synonym(s): iredalei Ashby, 1923 meridiana Iredale & Hull, 1925.

Typical shell-length 36 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore under rocks and stones, especially on moderately exposed shores. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
