Gastrochaenidae: Cucurbitula tasmanica (Tenison-Woods, 1877) (‘Tasmanian gastrochaena’)

Synonym(s): tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1877.

Typical shell-length 12 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore attached to shell debris and to living shells, living within a shelly tube with only the siphons protruding. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC and SA).
