Synonym(s): sexcostata Tate, 1888 peroniana Iredale, 1929 gaimardi Iredale, 1929.
Typical shell-length 25 mm. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA).
