Dendrodorididae: Dendrodoris nigra (Stimpson, 1855) (‘black sea-slug’)

Synonym(s): nigra Stimpson, 1855 debilis Pease, 1871 sordida Pease, 1871 rubrilineata Pease, 1871.
Typical body-length 70 mm. Lives intertidally on sponges, on which it feeds. Native. Occurs in eastern, western and northern Australia (WA, NT, QLD, NSW and TAS); also elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific.
