Synonym(s): incisura A. Adams, 1853 bajula Hedley, 1913.
Typical shell-length 25 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore on rocks. Native. Occurs in eastern, western and northern Australia (WA, NT, QLD, NSW and TAS); also elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific. In Tasmanian waters, this species is currently known only from a single record (unverified by SG) from the N coast; however, it may refer to a different species since Tasmania is well beyond the normal range for this species.
