Pseudomelatomidae: Epidirona philipineri (Tenison-Woods, 1877) (‘Philipiner’s turrid’)
Synonym(s): philipineri Tenison-Woods, 1877 monile Rousseau, 1854.
Typical shell-length 40 mm. Shape and degree of sculpturing vary. Lives subtidally and offshore on sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a very local species; most likely to be found as a beached shell in the NW.
