Epitoniidae: Epitonium (Mazescala) bellicosum Hedley, 1907 (‘bellicose wentletrap’)

Synonym(s): thrasys Iredale, 1936 bellicosum Hedley, 1907.

Typical shell-length 15 mm. Lives in offshore waters amongst sea-anemones. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this species is recorded from deep water in the far northeast.
