Epitoniidae: Epitonium (Hyaloscala) jukesianum (Forbes, 1852) (‘Jukes’ wentletrap’)

Synonym(s): jukesianum Forbes, 1852 denticulata Sowerby, 1844 delicatula Crosse & Fischer, 1864 ampacta Iredale, 1936.

Typical shell-length 15 mm. Lives intertidally to offshore amongst sea-anemones, in moderately sheltered environments. Native. Occurs in southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA); also New Zealand. In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread species, but seldom common as beached shells.
