Clathurellidae: Etrema (Etrema) denseplicata (Dunker, 1871) (‘densely-ribbed turrid’)

Synonym(s): denseplicata Dunker, 1871 atkinsoni Tenison-Woods, 1876 philomena Tenison-Woods, 1876 pulchra Tenison-Woods, 1877 crassina Angas, 1880 parvula Sowerby, 1896.

Typical shell-length 13 mm. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread species but seldom beached; most likely to be encountered in the N.
