Naticidae – Polinicinae: Friginatica beddomei (Johnston, 1885) (‘Beddome’s sand-snail’)
Synonym(s): beddomei Johnston, 1884 effosa Watson, 1886.
Typical shell-length 7.0 mm. Suture of spire channelled. Lives subtidally and offshore in sand, in moderately exposed environments. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread but rare species.
