Synonym(s): tasmanica Reeve, 1849 subsquamosa Dunker, 1871 acuta Tenison-Woods, 1876 lamellosa Watson, 1881 oxyacris Tate, 1897.
Typical shell-length 40 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore on sand and mud. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
