Veneridae – Tapetinae: Gomphina undulosa (Lamarck, 1818) (‘wavy venus’)
Synonym(s): undulosa Lamarck, 1818 variabilis Sowerby, 1835.
Typical shell-length 30 mm. Lives subtidally in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a very local species, confined to the NW coast and King Island.
