Typical shell-length not yet determined. Variable in shape (from squat to elongate) and in the extent of brown banding (from entirely white to broadly brown). Lives in offshore waters amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Occurs in southern and eastern Australia (TAS and perhaps other states).
