Octopodidae – Octopodinae: Hapalochlaena maculosa (Hoyle, 1883) (‘southern blue-ringed octopus’)

Synonym(s): maculosa Hoyle, 1883.

Typical body-length 180 mm. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
