Architectonicidae – Heliacinae: Heliacus (Torinista) ponderi Garrard, 1978 (‘Ponder’s sundial-shell’)

Synonym(s): ponderi Garrard, 1977.

Typical shell-length 9.0 mm. Lives subtidally on rocks, among Epizoanthus anemones. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species seems likely to be widespread, at least along the E coast, but not likely to be beached.
