Synonym(s): fruticosus Gould, 1846 divergens Reeve, 1847 coppingeri E.A. Smith, 1884 sowerbyi Pilsbry, 1892.
Typical shell-length 38 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally under rocks and stones. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC).
