Synonym(s): lineolatus Blainville, 1825 iredalei Dupuis, 1918 kingensis Ashby & Hull, 1923.
Typical shell-length 50 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally under rocks and stones, especially those embedded in sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
