Limidae: Limea austrina Tate, 1887 (‘southern file-shell’)

Synonym(s): austrina Tate, 1887.

Typical shell-length 10 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore on sand. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is primarily found in deeper waters in the NW and around King Island.
