Mangeliidae: Macteola anomala (Angas, 1877) (‘anomalous turrid’)
Synonym(s): anomala Angas, 1877.
Typical shell-length 11 mm. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is largely confined to the N coast and Bass Strait islands, where it can be common as a beached shell.
