Mangeliidae: Marita bella (Adams & Angas, 1864) (‘pretty turrid’)

Synonym(s): bella A. Adams & Angas, 1864 boakei Tryon, 1884 adcocki Sowerby, 1896.
Typical shell-length 20 mm. Lives subtidally amongst seagrass. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a rare species; most records are from Flinders Island.
