Lironobidae: Merelina cancellata Criscione & Ponder, 2011 (‘latticed rice-shell’)

Synonym(s): cancellata Crioscino & Ponder, 2011.

Typical shell-length 2.6 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this is common species, widespread in the N and E.
