Mytilidae: Modiolus lineus (Hedley, 1907) (‘lined pearly-mussel’)

Typical shell-length 6.0 mm. Lives in offshore waters on sand and mud, amongst a cluster of its own byssal threads. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS and VIC).
