Myochamidae: Myadora brevis (G. B. Sowerby I, 1827) (‘short myadora’)

Synonym(s): brevis Sowerby, 1827 triggi Cotton & Godfrey, 1938.

Typical shell-length 30 mm. As for all myadoras and myochamas, one valve is flattened, the other inflated. Lives subtidally in sand. Native. Endemic to southern and eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread species in the E and NW but uncommon.
