Typical shell-length 40 mm. Similar in shape to Zemira australis, but that species lacks columellar folds. Beached shells likely to be heavily worn. Lives subtidally in sand, emerging at night to feed. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
