Octopodidae – Octopodinae: Octopus warringa Stranks, 1990 (‘club pygmy octopus’)

Synonym(s): warringa Stranks, 1990 australis Benham, 1942.
Typical body-length 110 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore amongst rocks and seaweed, particularly within the holdfasts of giant kelp. Native. Occurs in southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA); also New Zealand.
