Lottiidae – Patelloidinae: Patelloida mimula (Iredale, 1924) (‘mimula limpet’)

Synonym(s): mimula Iredale, 1924; jacksoniensis Reeve, 1855.

Typical shell-length 15 mm. Lives intertidally, attached to oysters or rocks, especially on sheltered shores. Grazes on algae. Endemic to northern, eastern and western Australia (WA, NT, QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC).
