Phallomedusidae: Phallomedusa solida (Martens, 1878) (‘solid air-breather’)

Synonym(s): solida von Martens, 1878.

Typical shell-length 20 mm. Lives intertidally on sand and mud in sheltered environments. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this is a locally common species, but rarer towards the S.
