Trochidae – Cantharidinae: Phasianotrochus bellulus (Dunker, 1845) (‘beautiful kelp-shell’)
Synonym(s): bellulus Dunker, 1845.
Typical shell-length 20 mm. Lives subtidally amongst seaweed and seagrass in moderately sheltered environments. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a rare species largely confined to the NE coast and Flinders Island.
